Tonight was a sweet reunion with friends as I sat at Emily (Cook) and Randall's rehearsal dinner. I had the honor of standing in for the maid of honor, Emily's sister Katie.
Sadly, Katie's special friend Adam was KIA in last week. He died a soldier, a hero.
The last thing Adam wrote to Katie before departing for his final mission was a comment about her new haircut, "Do all the men of the universe a favor and wear your hair like that for the rest of your life."

I last saw my friends at Emily's wedding. I was so blessed to hear the news of my dear friend and U.S. Soldier Katie Cook...engaged...to Shane Grimsley. Georgia on my mind....love you Kate.
